Change of name for the school

The name of the school has changed

As you’ll know, the school was formerly called Bombolulu Secondary School. The name was agreed and registered with the Kenyan Department of Education according to the rules in place at the time when we opened the school. But all things change as they say, and the regulations in Kenyan education are developing quickly as they grapple with helping the country to grow and develop. A recent rule change has meant that we had to change the name of the school.

As we plan to use the building and facilities to be able to offer basic education in literacy, numeracy and works skills to all age groups, meaning we will be offering training as well as education, we chose The Bombolulu Educational Centre and it was approved. It’s a pain to change the name of the school but it works well for our plans to help the wider community escape from extreme poverty.
